2. Website hosting
The public QUBERRA website is hosted using Hostinger Premium Web Hosting. When the website is accessed, hosting infrastructure may process technical connection data such as IP address, timestamp, requested resource, browser/user-agent information and request status. This processing is required to deliver the website securely and reliably.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in secure, reliable website operation). Hostinger acts as a hosting service provider and may use contracted sub-processors in accordance with its data-processing terms.
3. Solo Play and browser storage
QUBERRA // 3 can be played without an account. The browser game stores settings, local game progress and a locally generated guest identity on the user's device so that the requested game and Arena guest session can function across reloads.
These values are functional and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. They remain on the device until the user clears the relevant browser storage. The storage is used only where required to provide the service requested by the user.
4. QUBERRA Arena
Arena is optional. When used, a random guest identifier, a security credential, a chosen or generated callsign, room/team membership, ready state, shared scramble, accepted puzzle moves, move count, match timing, finish state and verified leaderboard results are processed.
The Arena application does not require an email address or conventional account. The application database does not intentionally store raw IP addresses. Temporary network/server infrastructure can still process connection information needed to establish and protect the service.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to provide the requested Arena match, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for service security, abuse prevention and integrity of verified results.
5. Arena hosting
The production Arena service is planned to be hosted with IONOS in Germany. It is separated from the public website and is contacted only when Arena functionality is used or its availability is checked.
6. Retention
- Local browser game/save data: until cleared by the user/browser.
- Live room state: temporary and automatically expires after the room lifecycle; the current service limit is approximately two hours for inactive room state.
- Guest identity and verified leaderboard/match results: retained while required to provide guest identity, match history and leaderboards, or until the associated guest data is deleted where no legal obligation requires further retention.
- Security/error logs: retained only as long as operationally necessary or according to the configured hosting/server log retention.
7. Advertising, analytics and external tracking
QUBERRA currently does not use advertising networks, behavioral advertising profiles, third-party analytics pixels or social-media tracking pixels on the website. The site does not require those services for game operation.
8. Google Play and external links
If a Google Play link is activated, Google processes data only after the user follows that external link. Google Play is a separate service with its own privacy terms. The current site contains a prepared link position which remains inactive until the application listing is published.
9. Support communication
If you contact support@quberra.com, the information you send is processed to answer your request. A future optional WhatsApp contact link, if enabled, will open WhatsApp only after the user actively selects it; it is not embedded as a tracking widget.
10. Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.
For Arena guest-data deletion or another privacy request, contact support@quberra.com. The Arena backend already supports deletion of the authenticated guest identity and its associated stored match results.
11. Changes
This policy will be updated when material processing changes, for example if analytics, advertising, additional account features or new third-party integrations are introduced.
